Is the $500 deposit refundable?

Yes. Your $500 deposit is fully refundable if you cancel more than 14 days before your charter date. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable unless we are able to rebook your date. Weather-related cancellations initiated by the captain are always fully refunded.

Do I need a captain? Can I drive the yacht myself?

All C Weed charters include a professional, licensed captain. This is a Transport Canada requirement for vessels of this class carrying passengers. Our captain handles all navigation, docking, and safety — you simply enjoy the voyage.

How many guests can C Weed accommodate?

C Weed can accommodate up to 12 guests for day charters. For overnight charters using the staterooms, we recommend a maximum of 6 guests for comfort. The vessel has 2 private staterooms below deck.

Cancellations more than 14 days before charter: full deposit refund. Within 14 days: deposit is non-refundable unless we rebook the date. Captain-initiated weather cancellations: always fully refunded or rescheduled at no cost.

How long does it take to reach the Gulf Islands?

Travel times from West Vancouver: Galiano Island ~3 hours, Hornby Island ~4 hours, Salt Spring Island ~5 hours. These times vary based on sea conditions and route. Your captain will plan the most scenic and efficient route.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Absolutely. You're welcome to bring your own provisions. We also offer catering partnerships with Vancouver's finest caterers — from champagne and canapés to full multi-course dinners at anchor. Let us know your preferences when booking.

What should I wear / bring?

Dress in layers — even summer days on the water can turn cool. Bring non-marking shoes (or go barefoot on deck), sunscreen (UV reflects off water), and a camera with zoom for wildlife. We provide fresh water, ice, and basic beverages.
